Hi, My name is Leigh Goldsmith and I am a writer. I’ve always written, even as a child. I’ve written everything from poetry to feature articles, short stories and even a novel. It’s my way of expressing myself, of telling the world what I’m thinking and feeling, and often writing about things I feel deserve a voice. I love being able to  document life, transferring it straight from the heart and mind to the page. That’s what writing is for me. That’s why I call myself a writer.

I studied English and Archaeology at the National University of Ireland, Galway, before moving to London in 2002. Amidst a vast array of uninteresting and menial jobs, I found some time to further my education and finish a Diploma in Freelance and Feature Writing at The London School of Journalism. Following this, I worked in the financial sector as I could not rely on freelance writing to pay the bills. Even though a huge chunk of my day was taken up, I still found time to write. I have now decided to continue my quest for a perfect balance in life, which subsequently involves working, bringing up my two children and doing what I love best, from the comfort of my own home. I can write about what I want, when I want. My rules, my ideas, on my watch! Perfect! Let’s see how it goes ….
